The Wolfgangsee region offers you a variety of possibilities to organize your vacation days according to your mood. Sports enthusiasts can practice many water sports, hang gliding, cycling, mountain hiking, and much more.
With the Wolfgangsee Schifffahrt you can easily get to the other places on the lake, with the rack railroad to the Schafberg, or with the cable car to the Zwölferhorn.
The nature lover can enjoy the mountains around the Wolfgangsee, or interesting excursion destinations in the near or far surroundings. The imperial city of Bad Ischl is a 20-minute drive from St. Wolfgang, the cultural city of Salzburg can be reached in 50 minutes by car and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hallstatt in 40 minutes. All places are also accessible by public transport.

As the highlight of “1,100 Years of St. Wolfgang”, the mystical musical “WOLF – the Mystical” is presented on the new, completely covered Salzkammergut Seebühne stage on Lake Wolfgangsee. There will be a total of 10 performances. The premiere on May 23, 2024 opens up a new cultural dimension, and even the journey on board the WolfgangseeSchifffahrt will make the evening an unforgettable experience.
